球员合同年是什么意思？
在球员合同的最后一年叫做“球员合同年”。 如：2017-18赛季为库里新合同(4年)的第三年，简称“17-18赛季”；再如2016-17赛季为马刺双塔(波波维奇执教)续约合同的第二年，简称“16-17赛季”。 这个词比较常用的NBA官方语境中。因为NBA各球队、球员个人及其球迷对“合同年”的概念并不清晰（我接触到的例子，连NBA工作人员都常将“contract year”误作“conference year”），因此需要借助这样的表述方式。而在CBA等国内职业体育联赛中则比较少见。
而所谓合同年的数据又常常与“最后之舞”(final year)或“最后一舞”(last dance)一样被媒体提及，这里也顺便介绍这些短语的意思——它们都在指代球员在合同年里的表现。 “最后之舞”经常用于描述运动员在职业生涯末期的精彩表演——“The Finals was his last dance with the Bulls.”——他在总决赛中的发挥是他和公牛队最后一个赛季的表演。 而“最后一舞”多用来形容球员在新合同的最后一年所打出的顶级水准的表现——“In his final year of a four-year contract， he averaged an NBA-high 35 points per game in the playoffs and led the Knicks to within one win of the 1999 NBA championship.
